I will reply to my self Smile

I was not lazy and used search option on site so i found loads of comments..
My conclusion is that J Costa is little faster but pellets wear every 5-6000 km while Malossi have little less power than J Costa but also is less maintenance free.
Malossi in maintenance consideration is almost same as original(pellets last 15.000+-km).

Probably i will go for Malossi but not sure 100% because i found J Costa on discount for same price as Malossi.

I want to change exhaust also mostly for louder(not loud loud) so other drivers can hear-notice me..Here in my country driving culture is on very very low level and noone take bicycle or motorcycle drivers into concideration.
I have Arrow Reflex, Leo Vince GT and 4Road and Akrapovic Slip on, all used but in excellent condition, price is same for all.
Just need to find out what will suit best for Xciting 250 without need for re-jeting carburation.

Any suggestion for exhaust is also welcomed.

Btw on xjr i have custom made twin Race exhaust(most mechanics who saw and hear Race exhaust said that sound and quality is on top of Acrap, LeoV and others) but unfortunately workshop is closed due to illness of owner.
Check on YouTube how they sounded (search Race Ada exhaust not Dragon Ada) because there is 2 manufacturers in same town, but Race was making better quality, which mean Dragon is not bad either.

Beautiful sound on TDB

Another thing..
I know its widely spoken on forum about J Costa and Malossi but since i was reading forum with help of Google Translate half of messages aren't translated and i cant understand everything, but i understand most of content.
I know-read about few issues with J Costa reliability but as i understand that was solved with next generation variator-EVo2 or Evo3.
Also im aware that J costa pulley wearing faster than Malossi but as i understand J Costa have more linear power from start to end.

I'm asking this because i am pretty tall and heavy driver (195cm/125-30kg) and kgs varies from period, summer or winter Smile
Most of time scooter going well but from time to time i got impression that i need few HP more, or little more power.

From those who tried 250 cc with J Costa or Malossi what can you recommend? J Costa or Malossi?
I have Malossi multivar here for 150 euro and J Costa for 180, both new.
What to choose?I don't mind if J Costa pulleys wear faster than malossi, i just want linear power, but not want to change to 500cc.
Maybe i will consider to change for Downtown 300 but not pretty sure.

Thanks!

Hello friends!

Today lucky for me and Xciting was sunny day (but not so warm, around 9-10 Celsius) and i decided to check whats going on.
I opened front cover and cleaned all contacts with spray cleaner..also cleaned O2 sensor which is easy accessible.
I cleaned few other things who are easy accessible from sides without opening seat cover.

After that i followed reset procedure and after first time i got reset and error gone!
Lucky for me and my Xciting error didn't show up when i started bike next time.

I don't know whats happened but for sure that was not crankshaft sensor failure.

Again thank You for suggesting and help.

Take care and drive safe!

My mistake..i was reading error codes wrongly.
Probably i got wrong impression because bike starting and working very good, normal.
As user manual saying if CPS malfunction bike wont start and work.

Again thanks for help i will look at this issue when weather become normal and temperature goes over 0.

Take care.

Hello!

I hope writing in English isn't forbidden, if is please delete and excuse me.

I have problem with Xciting 250 2007..

After my position light bulb went out i changed my self but i disconnect all wires to remove whole front cover.
I change bulb without problem, checked water in radiator(was full) and everything was fine..scooter worked nice, as before.

Next morning outside temperature went down to -2 Celsius and i wanted to move scooter inside.
Scooter worked normally(started normally like in summer time) but check engine light went on..i turn off immediately and tried to figure whats happened...CELP flashed 5 slow times and 8 faster times...
I check antifreeze(was changed 2 weeks ago)water in radiator was also normal...oil changed 300 km ago, new battery two month ago when i also changed drive belt and put new Dr Pulley sliders.
Bike is now almost 21.000 km and works fine.
Since was Sunday i was unable to call official dealer(btw they are 30 km away) and i was curious whats happened..i found repair manual and there says that 8 CELP flashes mean Idle Air Bypass Valve error..

Tried to reset TPS/ISC according to manual(turn key off, open throttle, turn key on and wait 8 sec than turn off) but nothing changed..

Next Monday i call official Kymco dealer and service and presented them my problem..i was amazed when person on phone said i have no idea what is IDLE AIR BYPAS VALVE..even i gave them part number from catalogue he didnt have clue..he said come with scooter and we will sort out...i said i have no idea how to bring scooter to them he said drive there will no problem to engine or wait till spring..
That was my first and last contact with them..i will bring bike to my trusted mechanic who keep perfect maintenance to my Yamaha XJR more than 5 years..problem is that he in hospital for next month and half and i want to sort out problem sooner.

So if anyone with similar problem can gave me solution what to do?Shall i purchase new Idle Sensor or something else?
One of solution that i have on my mind is that i will re check and clean most of wired contacts and do another ECU reset..if that not solve problem then i will find someone trustworthy(its very hard to find good mechanic as usual)
Keep in mind that problem showed after temperature went under 0 so there is possibility for some other sensor like 02 sensor or something else?

Thanks!

Hello friends!

Friends i don't know if am allowed to write on English but i will try.

I'm not Spaniard so trying to read with Google translator and for now its not bad..most of topics are covered and most of people are willing to help.
I like that loads people are friendly and want to share their knowledge.
So i come from Macedonia, Skopje and im 43 yrd old...i have Yamaha XJR 1300 sp02 and really really im impressed with XJR...only thing i don't like is consumption which goes to 10L per 100/km and cause that i wanted other smaller bike for my daily commuting across town and stop and go traffic.

After long concideration i got Kymco xciting 250 2007 (shows 250i) with almost 20.000 km.
Runs really really well, without problems, till now.

I bough bike few month ago..its like new cause previous owner take good care and proper (regular) maintenance).
For now i am really exited about bike but lattely started to loose power and not going well..
After reading forum i got knowledge that membrane is one of painfull sides of our moped and im going to change very soon(when snow is melted).

Ok, thanks for reading and take care!

HERE WHAT GOOGLE TRANSLATES, and sorry for mistakes

Hola amigo s!

Yo rama bicicleta pocos ago..its meses como nueva causa anterior propietario tomar buen cuidado y mantenimiento adecuado (regular)).
